The docu-clip “Das Ruhrgebiet – handfest und schnörkellos” explores the structural transformation and the history associated with it in the Ruhr region. It presents contemporary photographs of historically significant locations, inspired by the everyday life of a typical miner, and provides key background information about the “Revier.” The aim of the clip is to educate and raise awareness among the younger generation about the history of the former “coal mining region.”
